USARA Nationals Qualifier. The 12th annual Yough Xtreme AR will consist of 

  • 25+ miles of mountain biking, 

  • 20 miles of treking/orienteering, 

  • 9 mile kayak on the Middle Yough river, 

  • optional 140' rappel off of the Historic railroad tressel & a river swim. 

This race is transitional/unsupported & will be raced with both a linear & Rogaine format.

Event Type: One Day Adventure Race

CHECK-IN: Friday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm at Wilderness Voyageurs on the north side of the river. www.wilderness-voyageurs.com.

RACE START: 0800 Saturday morning.


"Both 3 person coed and 4 person coed categories are eligible to qualify for the USARA National Championship in October. The winning 3 person or 4 person coed team will receive  $400.00 toward there entry fee to USARA Nationals from American Adventure Sports, as well as USARA Solomon Regional Championship Jackets from USARA and Solomon race jackets. The 2nd & 3rd place coed, 3 and 4 person teams, also qualify for USARA Nationals.

American Adventure Sports is the proud producer of the USARA National Championship at Hidden Valley Ski Resort October 15-16, 2010.

 

Solo's & 2 person, 3 person & 4 person teams will race approximately 60 combined miles through the rugged and beautiful Laurel Mountains of south western Pennsylvania.

Awards ceremony immediately following the race.

Join us at the Falls Pub Saturday night for the post race party & a night of celebration.

"Zanfel will be providing an additional $100.00 sponsorship towards the winning 3 person coed teams entry fee for the USARA National Championship".

*Awards given to the top 3 teams in each category. *There must be 3 teams in a category to be competitive.

Athletes will receive technical wear, colored maps, passports & clue sheets, quality inflatable kayaks, double bladed paddles & pfd's.

*Athletes can use their own paddles & PFD's but they must carry them to & from transition.

CHECK-IN:

Teams/solo's will be issued clue sheets/maps/punch cards after they sign waivers & present/purchase a current USARA license, www.usara.com.

2 pers - $250.00
3 pers - $375.00 (USARA National Qualifier)
4 pers - $500.00 (USARA National Qualifier)

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any race or event at all times.
There are no refunds due to severe weather, including hurricane, tornado, earthquake , any other natural weather effect.  This also includes flooding, forest fires or unseen occurrence that would deem the conduct of the race to be unsafe
